Ultra 80 auch mit 128MB Modulen

Hi Leute,
laut dem Service Handbook läuft die gute SUN Ultra 80 nur mit 64 oder 256 MB Modulen (supported Modules).
Hat jemand Erfahrungen was die 128MB Module betrifft?

Wenn ich solche 128'er Module hätte, würde ich es mal probieren.

Im Handbuch steht unter Appendix C.1.5 Memory System: "...The system supports Sun standard 168-pin (Typo -> 200-pin!), 5-volt, 60-nanosecond DIMMs. DIMMs of 16-, 32-, 64-, 128-, and 256-MByte capacities can be installed in this system, but only DIMMs of 64- and 256-Mbytes capacities are supported..."

Offiziell werden solche Module also nicht unterstützt. Inoffiziell allerdings müßte man sich davon am besten selbst überzeugen, dass auch andere Module unterstützt werden.

also bei der U60 werden ja maximal nur 128MB-Module unterstützt.
Wenn man trotzdem 256MB-Module reinsteckt, dann werden diese mit 128MB erkannt, und die U60 stört sich auch nicht weiter daran.
Bei der U80 wird es darauf hinaus laufen, das die Module entweder nicht oder nur mit 64MB erkannt werden.

Wieviel 128er hast Du denn?
Ich muss mal schauen, ich habe hier (glaube ich) einen 4er-Satz 256MB-Module.
Den würde ich gegen 8x128MB tauschen.
